A "Green School" isn't just painted green! It is a place where we save water, save energy, and manage our waste responsibly. We follow the 3 Rs: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle to keep our environment happy. Understanding what goes into our dustbins is the first step.
What's in our School Dustbin?
Breakdown of typical school waste. Most of it can be recycled or composted!
1. Reduce
Use less. Carry a cloth bag instead of plastic. Take only as much food as you can eat.
2. Reuse
Use things again. Use empty jam jars for storage. Donate old books to the library.
3. Recycle
Change old into new. Paper, glass, and metal can be sent to factories to make new things.
